Hello, this is the ninth week of the SCAD x CATT x Harbor x ETC blog!

The mentors are finally here!!! It is great to finally meet the mentors in person and have them critique our work in the room. And it is also great to have time to interact with the mentors after the critique, as they are most helpful in answering questions the class has about our profession and how to get into our future job positions.

Based on the critique during the Tuesday session, we are at the wrapping stage of our piece, and since we are not adding more animation at this point, my focus will be more on helping the team with our press kit. For the animation portion of the press kit, I start by rendering each stage of the assets, from the AI-generated model to its wireframe, to the control rig, and finally to a playblast animation with joints and controllers in the scene.

With the video breakdown complete, I added a still image for each stage of the asset to the poster that the team is building for the little monster’s project technical poster.
